- Pruside 50mg Injection is a medicine used in the immediate treatment of hypertensive emergency (severely increased blood pressure) and acute heart failure
- It brings about an immediate reduction in blood pressure and the workload of the heart
- Pruside 50mg Injection is given as a drip into the vein under the supervision of a doctor
- Your doctor is the right person to decide the dose and duration, hence do not try to self-administered the injection at home
- Regular monitoring of blood pressure is required while on treatment
- Decreased blood pressure (hypotension) may occur as a side effect of this medicine
- Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding
- It is also advisable to avoid medication like sildenafil or tadalafil while on treatment as it may cause a sudden lowering of blood pressure.
