Extel CT 80mg/12.5mg Tablet contains two medicines, both of which help to control high blood pressure
Lowering blood pressure helps to reduce your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke in the future
You can take Extel CT 80mg/12.5mg Tablet with or without food
The dose will depend on your condition and how your respond to the medicine
Try to take it at the same time each day
It is important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to
It contains a diuretic (water pill) and will make you urinate more so, it is best to avoid taking this medicine within four hours of going to bed
Use this Extel CT 80mg/12.5mg Tablet regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well

The most common side effect is dizziness

Kidney:	CAUTION: Extel CT 80mg/12.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Extel CT 80mg/12.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.^Use of Extel CT 80mg/12.5mg Tablet is not recommended in these patients.
Driving:	UNSAFE: Extel CT 80mg/12.5mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Breast feeding:	UNSAFE: Extel CT 80mg/12.5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
Pregnency:	CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR: Extel CT 80mg/12.5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Extel CT 80mg/12.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines namely Telmisartan and chlorthalidone
It is generally used when one medicine alone is not controlling your blood pressure effectively
